Living Willow Courses
Living willow has grown in popularity over recent years starting with school and community projects and now as features in gardens. It is very accessible and after a day on one of our courses you will soon be sculpting your own living willow creations.
Please note these courses only run from November to the end of March, the dormant season when the willow can be planted.
Half day ‘fedge’
In just a few hours we will take you through the easiest of structures the ‘fedge’, a cross between a fence and a hedge. Learn about choice of site, ground preparation, material and how to put it all together. After a lesson from us you will go away with a set of cuttings ready to start your own.
Course includes tuition, materials, tea and coffee.
Living willow in a day
All you need to know to create your own living willow structures. ‘Fedges’, arches, arbours, tunnels and domes, as well as choosing a site, ground preparation and material. We will send you home with a set of cuttings to get you started.
Course includes tuition, materials, lunch, tea and coffee.
Structures and sculptures - 1 or 2 days
Up to you how much of each you do, on the two day we will keep the balance of one day structures the other sculpture, however if you prefer the one day we will be guided by which interests you more. The structures part of the course follows the same outline as living willow in a day while the sculptural looks at a more free style approach with tips on how to create animals, people or more abstract forms.

Chair in a pot - 1 day
Well several pots actually, but a fun way to grow your own chair.
Course includes tuition, material, lunch, tea and coffee, there will be an extra charge for pots.
As these courses take place outside in the winter you are advised to bring warm clothing and waterproofs.
