Volunteering at Onthank Nursery

BTCV Scotland are an organisation I have worked with regularly over the years, they do marvellous work with volunteers on conservation and community projects. At the beginning of February 2010 they started an eco-garden at Onthank Nursery and I was asked to design the willow play area.

The volunteers of BTCV along with parents, staff and local helpers got stuck into transforming the school grounds with raised beds, a living outdoor sofa, plastic bottle greenhouse and much more. Meanwhile myself, some mums and grandparents created a living willow play area with central dome and twisting tunnels. Oh and a ‘twigwam’ to finish off!
