Geodesic Domes
I made my first geodesic dome ten years ago, I had been shoved in a corner at a country show which any self respecting cat would have refused to be swung in, so I built my own space. The problem is now most people are more interested in the dome than the craft I am demonstrating inside.
I run this as a 2 day course in which time you will learn all you need to know to complete your own dome. You will go home with a completed roof section and the knowledge of how to cleave and shave the poles, set the angles on the re-cycled gas/water pipe, and most importantly how this geometric tent is assembled. We will also discuss covers, using wood burners, and how immensely satisfying it is to wake up in a structure you have made yourself.
Course includes tuition, materials, lunch, tea and coffee.
